They belong to Ben Cook, of Provo, who recently reclaimed the crown of speed-text messaging king. I had no idea there was such a comptetion–but there is. Ben had to send a 160 character message using the text capabilities of his phone. The message:
The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.
Ben’s record setting speed? 42.22 seconds. Now, I don’t know whether Ben is actually LDS–but given that he lives in Provo, where nearly 90% of the overall population is LDS, chances are that he is. So, Ben–if you’re out there, let us know whether you reached the pincacle of your success by practicing your text messaging technique during Priest Quorum meetings on Sundays.
